Bantam Select Tournament Highlights
What a showing by the DCYHA Bantam Select Team
First time goalies Hyrum Steenblik and Alex Martinez share time between the pipes to protect our goal. First year skater Riley Dereta scores his first tournament goal. Reliable Kadin Douglass and Ashton Leatham teamed up to deny the SL Lightening team a shutout. Players receiving MVP recognition by the opposing team included:
Kadin Douglass awarded MVP by the Idaho Falls Eagles
Alex Martinez was awarded the MVP by the Salt Lake Lightening
Ben White was awarded the MVP award by the Jr. Mustangs of Ogden
Ashton Leatham was awarded the MVP by the SL Lightening in the final game
Thanksgiving Shootout Skills Competition - DCYHA Enters Bantam Competitors
DCYHA Bantam Select Players enter the Skills Competition, Ogden Ice Sheet, Olympic Rink.
Mickale Guthrie - Competing for Fastest Skater
Ashton Leatham - Competing in the Shooting Accuracy Competition
Kadin Douglass - Competing in the Mystery Category
Alex Martinez - Competing in the Goalie Save Competition
The final competition was the Chariot Race. In this competition, Alex was pulled down the ice, relay style, by Mickale, Ashton and Kadin. The first bantam team to the finish wins. Join us for the fun!
