USA Hockey's SafeSport Mandatory Training for Volunteers

All DCYHA Volunteers should complete the online registration for volunteers.  The volunteer registration is available at no cost. The link to register is accessible HERE.  Select the "Ice Manager/Volunteer" option.

Annual USA Hockey SafeSport Training is required of all DCYHA program volunteers, coaches, staff, officers and board members.  The USA Hockey SafeSport Program is available online to help members become aware of the information necessary to prevent abuse from occurring in youth hockey.

All USA Hockey registered coaches, officials, employees and volunteers are entitled to take the training at no cost. The training was produced by the United States Olympic Committee. The training is comprised of short video segments that take approximately 90 minutes to complete, however, not all training needs to be completed in one session. We believe you will find the training very valuable and informative, and strongly encourage you to access the training.

The SafeSport Training and Refresher Training are each valid for two (2) seasons.  If  you took the training during the 2019-2020  season, it was valid for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons and you will need to complete the SafeSport Refresher course for this 2021-2022 season.

PLEASE NOTE that you will need your own USA Hockey Confirmation Number and email address to access the training.  Register as a USA Hockey Volunteer to receive a USA Hockey Confirmation Number.

The SafeSport Training and SafeSport Refresher courses are available all season.
